Legacy Dance Project
By submitting an enrolment, the parent/guardian confirms they have read and agree to the following conditions. Photography and video permission is requested separately and is optional.
Safety and supervision
Students are supervised by Legacy Dance Project during their scheduled classes only. Parents/guardians are responsible for students outside class times and must arrange prompt collection. If running late, please contact the studio so we can reassure your child. Students must not leave the studio without their parent/guardian or an authorised collector.
Communication with teachers
To avoid interrupting lessons, please do not approach teachers during or between classes. Questions can be raised after the teacher’s final class or through BAND.
Toileting and preschool students
Students attending classes other than preschool must be toilet trained and able to use the bathroom independently. Please encourage younger students to use the toilet before class. A parent/guardian of a preschool student must remain on the premises in case assistance is needed.
Respectful behaviour
We aim to provide a safe, welcoming and supportive environment. Bullying, intimidation, threatening behaviour and inappropriate conduct by students or families will not be tolerated. Families may be asked to leave where behaviour puts others at risk or seriously disrupts the studio.
Timetable changes
Classes and timetables may change due to enrolment numbers, staff illness, restrictions or other operational circumstances. We will notify affected families of changes as soon as practicable.
Class cancellations and disruptions.
If Legacy Dance Project cancels a class, we will advise families of available make-up, credit or refund arrangements as applicable. Where face-to-face classes cannot operate because of an enforced closure, we may offer online classes where practicable. Any refund or other remedy will be handled in accordance with applicable Australian Consumer Law.
Fees and enrolment
Enrolment is for a full term. Fees are payable in full by Week 1 or through regular fortnightly payments completed by Week 8. Students joining mid-term are charged from their commencement date. Fees are not reduced for classes missed by a student. The enrolment fee must be paid before the first enrolled class and contributes to insurance and licensing costs.
Overdue accounts
Please contact us promptly if you are having difficulty paying. Where an invoice remains overdue without an agreed arrangement, a $10 weekly late fee may apply from Week 8, subject to applicable law and the terms disclosed at enrolment. Participation in future classes or events and costume collection may be restricted for outstanding accounts where lawful and appropriate.
First aid and emergencies
In an emergency, staff will provide appropriate first aid and seek urgent medical assistance if required. We will make reasonable efforts to contact the parent/guardian as soon as possible; emergency treatment will not be delayed while contact is attempted. Parents/guardians may be responsible for medical or ambulance costs where applicable. Appropriate physical contact may be necessary to provide first aid.
Physical guidance during teaching
Dance instruction may involve appropriate physical guidance to demonstrate or correct technique. Teachers will explain and minimise physical contact where practicable and respect student comfort and safety.
Withdrawal or removal
Legacy Dance Project may suspend or end enrolment for serious or repeated breaches of studio policies, including threats, bullying or violence. Any fees, credits or refunds will be considered in accordance with applicable law and the circumstances.
Photography and video
Legacy Dance Project regularly takes photographs and videos during classes, rehearsals, performances, competitions and studio events.
These images may be used for studio promotional purposes, including our social media platforms, website and printed advertising. Photographs and videos may also be shared privately with studio families through BAND.
By accepting this registration agreement, parents and guardians acknowledge that they have been informed of these photography practices.
If you do not wish for your child's image to be used in public promotional material, please notify Legacy Dance Project in writing at admin@legacydanceproject.com.au.
We respect all families' photography preferences and will record and apply any restrictions communicated to us. Parents may update their preferences at any time.
By submitting this registration, I confirm that I have read and understood the studio policies and consent to my child participating in Legacy Dance Project classes. I understand that promotional photography/video consent is a separate, optional choice.
