Our privacy policy is in place to safeguard the personal information provided to us, such as names, contact details, emergency contacts, and any other relevant details. This information is essential for ensuring effective communication, organising dance classes, and handling administrative processes. It is our responsibility to uphold the privacy and security of this data, and we take this obligation seriously.

We believe that it is important for you to be aware of how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By being transparent about our data practices, we aim to build trust and confidence in our commitment to safeguarding your privacy.

FEES POLICIES:

1. Refund Policy: Please be advised that no refunds or credits will be issued for missed classes, regardless of whether any terms are completed.

2. Make-Up Lessons: Make-up lessons may be arranged with administration for classes missed due to illness. All make-up lessons must occur within the same term. Medical exemptions will be considered upon submission of a doctor's certificate.

3. Family Holidays: No refunds or credits will be provided for classes missed due to family holidays.

4. Payment Terms: All fees are due within 14 days of invoicing.

5. Late Fees: A late fee of $40.00 will be applied to your account for any outstanding payments not received by the due date.

6. Participation at Own Risk: I acknowledge and understand that my son/daughter participates in dance activities at Noosa Professional Dance Academy at their own risk. This includes participation in external dance events, competitions, the use of props, public performances, and rehearsals.

7. Health Declaration: I confirm that my son/daughter does not have any injury or disability that would restrict their participation in dance classes at NPDA.

8. Withdrawal Policy: Students who withdraw from NPDA during any term will not be eligible for a refund or credit. It is understood that the full fee as invoiced will remain payable. If you wish to withdraw from any class, you must provide written notice to the Academy prior to the start of the term. No refunds or credits will be issued for mid-term withdrawals. To avoid disappointment, please complete the term.

9. Notice of Withdrawal: I understand that I must provide written notice to the Academy in the preceding term if I choose to withdraw and not continue into the subsequent term.

10. Elite Classical Full-Time Coaching: I acknowledge that the $500.00 deposit for Elite Classical Full-Time Coaching is non-refundable, non-transferable, and will not be credited if I choose to withdraw prior to completing four terms. There will be no deductions or refunds for missed classes due to holidays, competitions, or travel. I understand that I will not receive a refund for any part of the term fees if my son/daughter does not complete all four terms.

11. Elite Classical & Commercial Coaching: I acknowledge that the $200.00 deposit for Elite Classical & Commercial Coaching is non-refundable, non-transferable, and will not be credited if I choose to withdraw prior to completing four terms. There will be no deductions or refunds for missed classes due to holidays, competitions, or travel. I understand that I will not receive a refund for any part of the term fees if my son/daughter does not complete all four terms.

12. Exclusive Enrollment: I agree that my son/daughter is exclusively enrolled as a student at Noosa Professional Dance Academy and does not attend any other dance institution.

13. Liability Waiver: Noosa Professional Dance Academy will not be held responsible for any loss or damage to personal property while on the premises.

In the event of class cancellations, NPDA reserves the right to cancel classes under the following circumstances:
1. Cyclone events
2. Extreme weather conditions, including temperatures of 38 degrees Celsius and above
3. Fire hazards
4. Pandemics

Permission is granted to photograph, film, or video your child for advertising and promotion.

NPDA maintains a zero-tolerance approach to bullying in any form. Bullying behaviour by students, parents, or caregivers is strictly prohibited and will be managed in accordance with the Academy’s Anti-Bullying Policy and Code of Conduct.

This policy applies to all NPDA premises and NPDA-sanctioned activities, including classes, rehearsals, performances, competitions, and waiting areas. Bullying includes verbal, physical, social, or cyber behaviour that is intentional, repeated, and causes harm, intimidation, or distress.

All reported incidents will be addressed promptly by NPDA staff and referred to the Student Welfare Officer and/or Principal as required.

NPDA also enforces strict standards regarding the treatment of staff. Verbal abuse, harassment, intimidation, or physical aggression toward staff will not be tolerated and will result in restricted access to the premises or immediate termination of enrolment.

NPDA is not responsible for bullying incidents that occur outside of Academy operations or events. All members of the NPDA community are expected to uphold the standards of behaviour outlined in the Code of Conduct and contribute to a safe and respectful environment.

In the event of a medical emergency, the undersigned hereby grants authorization to Noosa Professional Dance Academy, its proprietors, and instructors to seek and consent to necessary medical treatment for the participant if unable to reach a parent, guardian, or designated emergency contact.

I understand and acknowledge that all choreography, costumes, and ideas, including solo, duo/trio, group dances, and class routines, are the exclusive property of Noosa Professional Dance Academy. Written permission from the principal is required to use them, and without permission, the principal reserves the right to enforce copyright laws. This applies to all choreographers employed by NPDA.

At Noosa Professional Dance Academy, we are committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for all students, staff, and families. Parents and caregivers play a critical role in upholding these standards. Compliance with this Code of Conduct is a condition of enrolment.

Zero Tolerance for Abuse or Intimidation
NPDA enforces a zero-tolerance policy for inappropriate behaviour by parents or caregivers. Any abusive, threatening, intimidating, aggressive, deceptive, or disruptive behaviour toward staff, students, teachers, other parents, or any member of the NPDA community will result in immediate termination of enrolment, effective immediately, without refund or credit.

This applies to behaviour occurring:
- On NPDA premises (including studios, waiting areas, and change rooms)
- At NPDA-sanctioned events (classes, rehearsals, performances, competitions)
- Via verbal, written, or electronic communication (including email, text, and social media)

Prohibited behaviour includes, but is not limited to:
- Verbal abuse, yelling, swearing, or derogatory language
- Threats, intimidation, harassment, or coercion
- Physical aggression or intimidating behaviour
- Gossip, defamation, or malicious conduct
- Disruptive or confrontational behaviour at NPDA or NPDA events
- Inappropriate or hostile communication via electronic platforms
NPDA reserves the right to restrict access to the premises or events where behaviour compromises the safety or wellbeing of others.

Behaviour Expectations
1. Respect for Staff and Students
- Parents must treat all NPDA staff, instructors, students, and families with courtesy and respect at all times.
- Professional decisions regarding training, class structure, choreography, and student placement are to be respected.

2. Communication
- All communication with NPDA staff must be professional, respectful, and appropriate.
- Concerns must be raised through approved channels and not discussed publicly or in front of students.
- Aggressive, demanding, or disrespectful communication will not be tolerated.

3. Behaviour on NPDA Premises and at Events
- Parents must not interrupt or interfere with classes, rehearsals, or performances.
- Disruptive behaviour in studios, waiting areas, change rooms, or event venues is prohibited.
- Parents must not approach, discipline, or confront students other than their own child.

4. Attendance and Punctuality
- Parents are responsible for ensuring students arrive on time and attend classes consistently.
- Absences should be communicated to NPDA in advance wherever possible.

5. Community Conduct
- Parents are expected to support a positive, inclusive, and respectful environment for all students, not only their own child.
- Gossip, negative commentary, comparisons, or conduct that undermines students, staff, or programs is unacceptable.

6. Conflict Resolution
- All concerns must be addressed calmly and respectfully in accordance with NPDA’s established procedures.
- Public confrontation, social media commentary, or involving other families is not acceptable.
- Confidentiality and privacy must be respected at all times.

Breach of Code
Failure to comply with this Parent Code of Conduct may result in one or more of the following actions, at NPDA’s sole discretion:
- Immediate termination of enrolment without notice
- Restricted or revoked access to NPDA premises or events
- No refund or credit of fees where enrolment is terminated due to misconduct

By enrolling a student at NPDA, parents and caregivers acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to abide by this Code of Conduct. These measures exist to protect the safety, wellbeing, and positive experience of all members of the NPDA community.
