ADULT CLASS TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Please read all Terms and Conditions carefully. By enrolling at Ecole Ballet and Dance Theatre (“Ecole”) for an Adult Class, it is assumed that you have read, understood and agreed to the following terms and conditions.

1 You are entitled to one complimentary trial of our Adult Beginner and/or Adult Jazz & Hip Hop classes.

2 Adult Ballet require a class pass to be purchased after the complimentary trial if you wish to continue. This is valid for six months (extra time added for cards that are valid over the December/January closed period). Extensions to the expiry date will not be given unless a Doctors certificate is provided in the case of injury that prevents you from dancing for an extended period.

3 Dance Class passes are to be used by the person the card was issued too only. Cards are non-transferable.

4 No refunds will be given for any unused portion of the card.

5 Adult Jazz & Hip Hop is a new class, so we have several payment options available. $20 casual visit or you can purchase and use an Adult Class Pass ($180 for 10 classes). This card can also be used for our Adult Beginners Ballet.

6. Payment for the Adult Class Pass must be made before collecting your Pass.

7. Health of a Student
We accept students on the assumption that they are in good health and fitness and may participate in dance activities at the studio. Tuition in dance entails physical exertion and that whilst all Ecole staff take every precaution, the risk of injury cannot be eliminated.

It is your responsibility upon enrolling in the Adult Classes to notify staff of any injury, medical condition or allergy suffered by the student that may prevent him/her from engaging in certain physical exercises or routines. Students are permitted to bring water into the studios.

If you have any health or medical concerns you must discuss them with your doctor before participating in dance classes at Ecole. You acknowledge that Ecole does not give you any medical advice.

Ecole warns that whilst you are on our premises and participating in recreational activities, you are at risk of suffering physical harm or personal injury including broken bones, soft tissue injuries, joint injuries, etc

You acknowledge that any such injury may result not only from your actions but from the actions or negligence of others. You acknowledge that whilst every attempt is made to ensure that the classes and studio provided by Ecole are safe, there are some significant and inherent risks involved, and you agree that you are participating voluntarily at your own risk and responsibility, thereby exposing yourself to certain risks.

In case of an emergency requiring urgent medical attention, the undersigned herby authorises the staff of Ecole to seek medical attention.

By accepting these Terms & Conditions, you agree that Ecole will not be liable for personal injury or illness suffered on premises or from using our facilities.

8. Physical Contact in the Performing Arts
Some physical contact may be necessary by a member of the faculty to demonstrate technique or exercise – or if First Aid is to be administered.

9. Personal Contact Details
Please keep us up to date with your correct email address and telephone numbers. You can contact us on 0433 832 653 or info@ecole.com.au, if there is a change to your details.

10. Media Release and Permission
When you enrol through the online enrolment form there is a Media Permission acceptance field under the student details section. You can either agree or disagree to the Media Permission on the online form. If you agree to the Media Permission, then you grant to Ecole, the right to take photographs/videos of you whilst participating in dance classes/activities run by Ecole Ballet and Dance Theatre.

You acknowledge that Ecole will use such images/videos for promotional purposes across various media including Ecole’s website, Ecole’s Facebook, Ecole’s Instagram, newsletters, print collateral, etc. You hereby permit Ecole to use images/videos in a lawful manner for the purposes described above. You understand that your consent can be withdrawn at any time upon written notice and that students’ names/private information will not be disclosed.

MEDIA RELEASE 2024

You grant to Ecole, the right to take photographs/videos of your child whilst participating in dance classes/activities run by Ecole Ballet and Dance Theatre. You acknowledge that Ecole will use such images/videos for promotional purposes across various media including Ecole’s website, Ecole’s Facebook, Ecole’s Instagram, newsletters, print collateral, etc. You hereby permit Ecole to use images/videos in a lawful manner for the purposes described above. You understand that your consent can be withdrawn at anytime upon written notice and that students private information will not be disclosed.

When you enrol your child at Ecole through the online enrolment form via the Ecole website, there is both a Media Permission acceptance field under the student details section as well a Media Release option at the end of the form. You can either agree or disagree to the Media Permission on the online form. If you agree to the Media Permission, then you grant to Ecole the rights as stated above in the Media Release.

Please note, your child may inadvertently be in a group where a photo is taken, however if you do not agree to the Media Release, the photo will not be published or your child’s face will be obscured in the photo. The exception to this is Ecole’s Open Day and Ecole’s End of Year Performances/Rehearsals. As the photos from these events are of students performing in a group in action, we reserve the right to publish these photos.

At no time do we use student’s first name and last name with their photo. The exception to this is our Ecole Awards page on our website (first name and last name). Our website Eisteddfod Results page and Open Day winners page has the first name and first initial of the surname. Our social media (Facebook and Instagram) will contain the student’s first name of any student that is featured for their Eisteddfod results.

PRIVACY POLICY 2024

Online enrolment is conducted through ThinkSmart Software Pty Ltd. Any personal information is securely stored and will only be used for the purpose for which it is submitted or for such other secondary purposes that are related to the primary purpose.

The ThinkSmart Customer Portal invitation will be sent to you with your 2024 enrolment confirmation, along with the App, which will allow you to manage your account including updating contact details, viewing your child’s enrolment and making payments. As above, any personal information is securely stored and will only be used for the purpose for which it is submitted.

Our Ecole website is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to communicate news, events and classes to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.

We may contact you to notify you regarding your enrolment, or to send updates about Ecole, or as otherwise necessary to contact you to enforce our User Agreement, applicable national laws, and any agreement we may have with you. For these purposes we may contact you via email, telephone, text messages, and postal mail.

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it.
