SWIM LESSON INFORMATION

• A missed lesson due to your child’s inability to attend can unfortunately not be made up at a later stage. However, in the event of injury or prolonged illness if you notify us promptly we may re-enrol the child for the following term and credit your account.
• Lesson Cancellations may occur due to lightning, extreme weather conditions or the Swim Instructor not being able to attend. In such cases, a ‘catch-up lesson’ will be provided towards the end of term.

LESSON PARTICIPATION

• Please ensure that children go to the toilet before their lesson.
• Children are NOT TO ENTER THE WATER PRIOR to their lesson (they get too cold and tired!)
• Ensure that your child has goggles, and that their hair is tied back away from eyes and face.
• Turn up and be ready for the lesson start time – no extra time can be given at the end of lessons.
• If your child cannot make it to a lesson, please let the pool know as soon as possible – phone the pool shop 66461750.
• Ensure sunscreen has been applied at least 10mins (and not longer than 2hrs) before the lesson.
• Children under 10yo MUST be accompanied to the amenities block by an adult.
• Before and after the lesson, your child must be supervised by you. All pool rules apply.
• If wet-suits are worn, they must be tight-fitting.

Important Information
• Term bookings are essential
• If your child has a medical condition, please seek medical advice prior to undertaking lessons.
• Ensure that pool staff and your child’s swimming instructor are made aware of your child’s medical conditions, allergies, learning or physical afflictions, behavioural issues or anxiety BEFORE lessons commence.
• Please limit time under the showers so that other children and instructors can have hot showers at the end of lessons.
• Ensure that children keep off the pool blankets and lane ropes – these are very expensive items for you to repair or replace.
• Any damage to pool property caused by children under your supervision will have to be repaired at your expense.

We are always happy to provide any information or feedback regarding your child’s progress. However, such discussions must occur at a time that does not interfere with lessons. Pool staff will be happy to arrange a time for you.
