CANCELLATION POLICY
If you request to cancel your term enrolment once payment has been made, Clovelly Splash Swim School does NOT give refunds under any circumstances. Credits are only considered for students who have incurred the following:
Major Illnesses or hospitalisation.
Credits will not be granted for holidays.
Credits will only be considered for max 2 consecutive absences from lessons.
To apply for credit:
You need to provide a Doctors Certificate. Once your credit has been approved, an email will be sent outlining the amount of credit the swim school is holding. Credit – will remain on file for up to the upcoming term. Please note: In the event of missed or cancelled lessons, refunds will not be granted.
TEACHER CHANGES
We strive to maintain consistency with instructors, although this is not always possible. Clovelly Splash reserves the right to cancel or change classes and instructors or move students if needed. By law all instructors working at Clovelly Splash are fully qualified in swim teaching and undergo regular training days to improve and maintain their high level of teaching standards. Please note refunds will not be given as a result of teacher changes.
RE-ENROLMENT PROCEDURES
The Swim School has set enrolment procedures to assist you with attaining your preferred day and time for swimming lessons term by term. A Term Newsletter will be generated and sent to you 3 weeks before end of term, which will include all lessons for the next term. Please be advised, that each child’s enrolment into the same class for the following term can be guaranteed over a week period after the Newsletter has been sent out. Outside this period your child’s position in the program cannot be guaranteed. For further information regarding re-enrolment please contact us via email or phone. Your re-enrolment is only guaranteed once the upfront fee is paid in full. If you make your payment through internet banking or by direct debiting.
APPROVED SWIMWEAR
We do not allow children to swim if they are wearing only a disposable swim nappy, as these do not effectively contain any accidents that may occur and are not adequate in containing leaks. Babies and toddlers under 3 years old must wear a “Happy Nappy” swim nappy for their lessons over a disposable swim nappy. If you dot use those nappies and we have to close the pool over a "poo accident" you will be charged for the following two hours clasess' fees. We have the right to turn you away from the class if you do not comply with our rules.
KEEP THE NOISE TO MINIMUM
If you arrive more than 10 min prior, you class please make sure your child waits in the waiting area. If you have two consecutive classes, please make sure the child who needs to stay in the waiting area.
While you are waiting for the class, please try to keep your child seated, if that is too difficult, please come back in 5 min prior your class. Running kids inside the pool area can be disturbing for the teachers and kids in the pool. Please keep noise to minimum: no yelling and unnecessary conversation on phone.
CHANGE OVER FROM ONE CLASS TO THE NEXT
Parents are not allowed to come more that 5 min prior to the swimming class. Please consider getting change before and after the class as quick as possible to minimise noise and number of people in waiting room, as the consideration of our neighbours are our high priority.
KEEP WATCH
Pool attendants are not babysitters. You are responsible for your child at all times, be prepared to get wet. Children will not be allowed entry unless active supervision of a person 16 years or over.
HEALTHY SWIMMING
Steps to healthy swimming recommended by NSW Department of Health: Please cancel your child’s lesson if they have gastric, or skin conditions which are current. Please let us know if your child has any medical history or learning difficulties.
LESSON ETIQUETTE:
Please do not enter the designated lesson area until lesson commencement. All students must be supervised whilst at the facility, including ‘Free-Time’ and ‘Before/After lesson activities’. Please note facility Terms & Conditions apply to all students and their families.
MAKE-UP LESSONS
1. The parent/care giver or swimmer is responsible for marking their absence & booking a make-up lesson. This can only be done via the parent portal.
2. If you do not mark yourself absent you will not be able to book a make-up.
3. All absences can be marked no less than 5 hours prior to the lesson. Once you mark yourself absent this cannot be changed.
4. Make up lessons can only be booked within the same school term of the marked absence.
5. If a make-up lesson is missed or not book in (same term), this lesson will be forfeited.
6. You can not change the time of a make-up once you have booked it in.
7. Make up lessons are non-refundable or transferrable.
8. Make up lessons are subject to program availability. We do not guarantee you will be able to book a make up at a time you desire or that a place will be available.
PLAY BY THE RULES
With Payment you accept our rules:
1. Come only 5min prior class to avoid unnecessary waiting.
2. Swim&Go.
3. Long hair must be tight up to avoid getting hair in the student’s face during class, swim cap is highly recommended.
3. Band Aids, must be removed before the start of the lesson if your child is wearing one and it looks as though it may come off in the pool.
4. No food/eating in the swim school to keep high hygiene.
5. For your own safety and the safety of others, please do not attend if you are exhibiting any symptoms of a cold or flu, or unwell in any way.
7. No pets.
8. Respectful behaviour towards our team.
9. Babies and toddlers under 3 years old must wear a “Happy Nappy” swim nappy for their lessons over their disposable swim nappy.
10. Please close the gate at all TIMES!
11. Please place your rubbish/nappy into the white big bin.
12. Please check you have your belongings before leaving.
A memo has been distributed to all staff asking them to read and sign all policies and procedures relating to health, hygiene and infection control.
Close monitoring of staff to ensure the highest standard of health and hygiene procedures are being followed.
The centre is cleaned 3 times a day.
Chlorine level is checked and maintained daily.
